Each month our newsletter will feature a story of what gave hope to an individual going through a breast cancer journey as illustrated in our 2011 Year of Hope Calendar

May 2011 Story of Hope - Mom
We would not be where we are today without the support of each other. After a ten-year battle, Erin and Kaitlin lost their mother to breast cancer. Two weeks later, Keely and Cameron lost their mother after a four year struggle with the same disease. Our two families did not know each other before these unfortunate events, but thanks to our high school counselors, we quickly found each other. This was the most difficult time in our lives, especially up against the normal day-to-day struggles of being teenagers. We found strength in each other that helps us continue to excel in life. We encourage each other to keep a strong faith and together we know we can get through anything. That's why we feel it's so important to support others, even strangers... the result will likely be great friendships and opportunities you could have never imagined. Our mothers live on in our hearts. They inspire us to live life to our fullest potential. We know they are proud of us. They have influenced who we are as people today and who we are yet to become.
Cameron, Keely, Erin & Kaitlin.
