The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer has
received an amazing donation of over 1,000 Barbie and friends dolls from
a single collector. The dolls are from
the time periods of the seventies, eighties and nineties and are still in the
original boxes with many still sealed.
The dolls will be sold in the Hope Chest Retail Stores beginning with a
ticketed event on Thursday, November 15th and continuing with
special events throughout the weekend during regular store hours.
“As part of the Hope Chest’s mission to provide emergency assistance to breast cancer patients, the St. Paul and Orono/Navarre Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Retail Stores are pleased to feature the Barbie B Friends All Star Evening” says Barbara Hensley, Founder and CEO of the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer.
The over 1,000 dolls and accessories will be split between the St. Paul and the Orono/Navarre Stores. Each store will kickoff the Barbie weekend with a ticketed party to be held Thursday night November 15th, 6-8 p.m. This opportunity to be among the first to view and purchase the dolls requires a $10.00 ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the stores, on www.hopechest.us or at the door the night of the event. Guests with advance tickets will be allowed in first.
Children under the age of 10 are free when accompanied by an adult. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best Barbie (or Barbie friend) attire. Those in costume will be entered into a drawing to win a free doll. Browse the dolls, bid online on the exclusive dolls, purchase your favorites and sip a glass of champagne or sparkling grape juice
