It's heart breaking to think about all of the families who are struggling this holiday season. Your support of the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation will provide a helping hand to Sam's family at a time when they need hope.
Sam's Mom is undergoing breast cancer treatment and has had to cut back on her work hours due to the side effects of her treatment. Money is tight and they need help. Sam is scared and just wants his Mom to get better.
During this season of giving, please make a donation to the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation and help families like Sam's remain in a safe and stable living environment. Your donation will help provide rent, utilities or other needs to a struggling family so they can focus their strength toward Mom and her breast cancer treatment.

In Memoriam - Marjorie Moore (1951-2010)
Marjorie's breast cancer journey is the December story featured in the 2010 Calendar of Hope. Sadly, Marjorie lost her battle this past March. We share Marjorie's story in her honor.
In Marjorie's words: Standing at the bus stop, my eyes welled up, as the feeling washed over me. Brushing away tears, I boarded the bus. Yet the driver could still sense my sadness and asked what was wrong. I told her that I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She said, "Honey, I want to give you a big hug. But I'm not allowed to get out of my seat while I'm on duty." She turned to the passengers, "this lady needs a hug. Will someone please give her one?" Responding to the request, my young male seat-mate put an arm around me and gave me a squeeze. When I got off the bus, the driver said, "Everything is going to be ok. I'm going home and will pray for you." I still remember this driver, a total stranger. She didn't cure me, and she didn't give me a million bucks, but she gave me hope. | | |

About Hope Chest for Breast Cancer
Our mission at Hope Chest for Breast Cancer® is to help under-served or financially distressed individuals and their families touched by breast cancer.
How do we help?
We concentrate on the following needs:
- Emergency funds that provide rent, utilities, transportation and other needs to women who are unable to work due to the side effects of breast cancer treatment
- "Delivered Meals and Heal" for women and their families so that they can get the essential nourishment that their bodies need during breast cancer treatment
How do we raise funds?
Through the sale of donated, upscale furniture, accessories, and designer women's clothing at our Retail Stores; through our Foundation fundraising events and programs; and through financial donations.

Store Hours: Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(Orono now open till 8:00 p.m. on Thurs. & opens at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday)
The stores are registered with the State of Minnesota as professional fundraisers.
